Who we are
Find Car Boot Sales UK is an independent directory of car boot sales, indoor boot fairs, mixed markets and antiques fairs across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The site is run by Francis, director of 471 Digital Ltd, based in Brixton. I’ve been going to car boot sales since I was a kid, buying and selling everything from vinyl to garden tools, and I started this site because I was tired of driving to sales that had closed or moved.
We are not owned by, or affiliated with, any car boot sale organiser, market operator or landowner.
Why this site exists
Car boot sale information is scattered. It sits across organiser Facebook pages, old council listings, printed posters and word of mouth. Dates change with the weather, venues move, and some sales quietly stop running altogether. Out-of-date listings waste a lot of early Sunday mornings.
Our aim is simple: put the key facts about each sale in one place, and be honest about how confident we are in them. That covers where it is, when it runs, what it costs, who runs it and how to contact them.
What the directory covers
The directory currently lists 526 venues across the UK, including:

Each listing has a Venue Information table with the sale’s status, when we last checked it, entry and setup details, facilities, weather and cancellation notes, the organiser’s contact details and a location map.
How we gather and check information
Listing details come from:
- Organisers’ own channels: official websites, Facebook pages and phone numbers
- Organiser submissions: organisers can add or claim a listing
- Visitor reports: buyers and sellers who tell us something has changed
What “Last verified” means. It’s the month we last reviewed the listing against the sources above. It does not mean we visited the sale in person, and it isn’t a guarantee that the sale is running on a particular day.
Listing statuses explained:

| Seasonal outdoor event | An outdoor sale that normally runs in the warmer months. Check with the organiser before travelling |
| Indoor / all-year | A covered venue that is less affected by weather |
| Status unconfirmed | We couldn’t find current contact details or recent activity. Treat this listing with caution, and please tell us if you know more |
Our advice: always check the organiser’s website or Facebook page on the morning of a sale, especially after heavy rain or in winter. Outdoor sales are often cancelled at short notice.
Corrections, updates and removals
If something on a listing is wrong, out of date, or the sale has closed, please contact us or email hello@findcarbootsalesuk.com. It helps if you include:
- the name of the sale and the page link
- what has changed
- how you know (for example, the organiser’s post, or that you were there)
We aim to review reports within 10 working days. Organisers can ask for their listing to be updated, claimed or removed at any time.
Featured and sponsored listings
- Some listings are marked Featured. These are paid placements that appear more prominently, and they are always clearly labelled. Payment never changes the facts we publish about a venue, and it doesn’t affect any status or verification label.
Advertising
This site may show adverts, including from Google AdSense, to help cover running costs. Advertisers do not influence our listings or guides. See our Privacy Policy for how cookies and advertising data are used.
Our guides
Alongside the directory, we publish practical guides for buyers and sellers. They cover how to price items, what to bring, early-bird etiquette and how to spot a bargain. The guides are written by Francis from first-hand experience and are reviewed and updated when things change.
Recent updates
We keep a short log of meaningful changes to the directory so visitors can see the site is actively maintained.
